Profit over Prudence

A few days ago while listening to NPR News Hour I heard that BP oil had pleaded guilty to criminal charges related to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. (,0,6277311.story)
I mention that environmental disaster, where lives were lost, because although BP was tried and convicted in the public eye before taking responsibility, BP continued, and continues today, in business without fear customers would bad mouth them or fear customers would never return. I know! I know! Apples and oranges, but all fruit, and more important, food for thought for those who make knee jerking decisions based on customer complaints thinking customers will bad mouth the organization and not return.
